Responsibilities:

  • Provide process engineering expertise for a large-scale 1.2 MTPA chloralkaline project in Texas.
  • Develop and optimize process designs, including flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and equipment specifications.
  • Perform calculations and simulations to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process designs with other engineering disciplines.
  • Conduct process hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety issues.
  • Support the development and review of P&ID diagrams, ensuring accurate representation of process systems.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of process equipment.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot process performance, recommending improvements as needed.
  • Work with the Project Manager to adhere to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • 5-10 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on chloralkaline processes.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to chloralkaline production.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) practices.
  • Experience with large-scale chemical plant construction and commissioning.
  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
  • Ability to travel to the project site for installation, commissioning, and operational support.
