Responsibilities:
- Provide process engineering expertise for a large-scale 1.2 MTPA chloralkaline project in Texas.
- Develop and optimize process designs, including flow diagrams, heat and material balances, and equipment specifications.
- Perform calculations and simulations to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate process designs with other engineering disciplines.
- Conduct process hazard analysis and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential safety issues.
- Support the development and review of P&ID diagrams, ensuring accurate representation of process systems.
- Oversee the installation, commissioning, and start-up of process equipment.
- Monitor and troubleshoot process performance, recommending improvements as needed.
- Work with the Project Manager to adhere to project schedules, budgets, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
- 5-10 years of experience in process engineering with a focus on chloralkaline processes.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices related to chloralkaline production.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Familiarity with process safety management (PSM) practices.
- Experience with large-scale chemical plant construction and commissioning.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite.
- Ability to travel to the project site for installation, commissioning, and operational support.
